Ephesians 6:18
Ephesians 6:18
Robert was born the 10th child of the late Dr. Clifford C. and Evangelist Barbara J. Adams, July 21, 1969, in Brooklyn New York. Being reared in the home of a Pastor and an Evangelist, it is evident that preparation for the divine call on his life began at an early age. As a young man he developed a passion for music and started playing the drums for the church, Healing Temple Church of God In Christ, where his Father was pastor and founder.
In 1990, Robert abandoned his desire of becoming a “rap-star” and became a witness for Christ, and the preparation that groomed him for the ministry became more fervent. Robert pursued an in-depth study of the word of God at the Jamaica extension of the OMK Religious Training Institute. And in 1993, he was ordained an Elder in the Church of God In Christ. At the demise of his father in 1994, The Lord revealed what his divine assignment was. That was to lead the ministry to the next level. Therefore in 1996, Elder Robert Adams was installed as the Succeeding Pastor of the Healing Temple Church Of God In Christ by Bishop Frank O. White, Bishop of the Third Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of Eastern New York, Church Of God In Christ.
This young visionary, who inherited a love for people, began the “Stop The DOOM” (Destruction Of Our Men) program in 1996. This program served breakfast to the community every Saturday morning, initiated after school programs for the community children, Computer classes, tutoring programs, and distributed food to the community every Thursday.
Pastor Adams, enacted upon the word of God and in 2004, he found his “good thing and
obtained favor of the Lord”, when he married Evangelist Glenda Ancrum Adams.
Because of his faithfulness to God and the ministry, in 2009, he was appointed as the
Superintendent of the CC Adams Memorial District, the District named in honor of his
beloved father by Bishop F.O. White.
Pastor Adams’ message to the church is that “if the Gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost”, so he continues to go into the hedges and the highway to compel men and women to come where the table is spread and the feast of the Lord is going on. And because of his diligence in the community, he works closely with Community District #10 and in 2011 he was elected President of the South Ozone Park Community Development Corporation.
This anointed man of God is the Son of a Preacher, the brother to many the Husband of one wife, a deliverer of the Gospel message, our Pastor, Superintendent, Dr. Robert A. Adams.

Because of his hunger for the Lord, he pursued his education in the Word of God. In 1988 he attended the O.M.Kelly Religious Training Institute at the Jamaica extension, Healing Temple Church of God in Christ, where Dr. Clifford Adams was the Director. After receiving certificates of completion, He wanted more, and continued his religious education at the NY School of Bible and the Interfaith Theological Seminary simultaneously. Elder Boyd continue to serve as a diligent servant of the Lord at the Healing Temple COGIC, where his father-In-Law, The late Dr. Clifford C. Adams, was founder and Pastor.
